No outside filters
Font of choice and/or word art.
PSP 9 but any version should work. If you use a different version and run into problems please let me know so that I can adjust.
Open a new image 600 x 250
Choose a color from your tube. Flood fill your image. Adjust, Add Noise, Uniform, 9, Monochrome.
Effects, Texture Effects, Weave, Gap Size 1, Width 37, Opacity 1, Black Weave color, White Gap color, Fill Gaps checked, Ok.
Repeat the Weave step but change the Gap Size to 2. Repeat Weave step a third time but change the Gap Size to 3.
My tube comes with 2 sizes. Chosing the larger size, copy and paste as a new image, move to far right (use my tag as a reference), change your opacity to Luminance (Legacy), Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, 2, 2, 50, 5, black, Ok, CTRL Y to repeat drop shadow.
Copy and paste your smaller tube, image, mirror, position to the left of your tag (use my tag as a reference), add the same drop shadow and CTRL Y to repeat. Move this layer below your larger tube layer. (note:: If your tube does not come in two sizes just copy and paste your tube, mirror and resize down by about 88%, then position and add your drop shadows)
Layers, New Raster Layer, Flood Fill with a light color from your tube, Selections, Select All, Selections, Modify, Contract by 2, Ok, hit your delete key, Selections, Select None. Add the same drop shadow once then go back and add again but change the first two numbers to -2.
Add your word art, add a drop shadow to that if you like. Add your credits and licensing information. Add your text/name. Layers, Merge All, Flatten. Save as a JPEG.
This tag should only take 5-6 minutes to create as long as you have all your supplies chosen. Have fun! Please feel free to share your results with me. I would love to display it on my blog along with the tutorial.
Here is another version with different colors and a tube by Elias Chatzoudis
